About Cyres Mehta
Dr Cyres K Mehta learnt laser cataract and number removal LASIK surgery from the great American surgeon and inventor Prof Howard Fine, President of the American Society of Cataract Surgeons in USA in the year 2000-2001. He was trained personally by Padmashri Dr Keiki Mehta the pioneer in India for IOL and Phaco surgery.After a stint in Germany under Prof Rentsch and California under Prof Bylsma ,world renowned experts in eye surgery he returned to India in 2002 and established his private practice at the International Eye Centre presently situated in a leafy bylane of the Taj Mahal Hotel over 2500 sq feet.
He is currently Surgical Chief of Asia’s most advanced eye centre , Dr Cyres K.Mehta,s International Eye Centre which attracts people from more than 25 countries around the world.
He is Past President of the Rotary Club of Bombay Pier and past Assistant Governor of Rotary district 3140.
During his tenure as President, he was chosen by the District Governor as the top “Master Blaster” President with an unparalleled contribution of over 5crores to different social service projects.
